attrakkt is the result of many iterations, lots of ifs and elses, thousands of hours of development, 1.2 million lines of code and if i'm entirely honset, a few afternoons on the golf course just thinking about it.
As founder of attraktt, I lead on product development, strategy and client services.
attraktt is designed to bridge the gap between agencies and their only real alternative, job boards. While job boards can be great for certain roles, they tend to return too many irrelevant / poor, or just too few applications, leading to frustration or a significant workload to manage the process. Our model essentially opens our recruiter database to our clients and candidates providing relevant feeds of jobs, candidates, hiring managers and companies to users based on their position, skills, firm type, sector, industry, education, qualifications and location. It is private yet transparent, providing users with highly relevant information while giving them complete control over who can access their profile / jobs. We provide a range of services to suit both direct and external sourcing models. In doing so, we can tailor the recruitment process for a particular role / organisation and our fees are commensurate with the volume of work required to successfully deliver results. If you have an internal recruitment team we provide a low cost service to drive quality applications.
I started out in recruitment in the early 2000's initially recruiting professionals in the construction sector before moving my focus to the finance industry. As I progressed up the ranks and started managing assignments at a much more senior level, recruiting Director, Partner and even Global Head roles at listed / blue chip organisations, I started to feel that the fees charged were way beyond what I would have been prepared to pay if I were the client. Our services have therefore been designed to align our fees more closely with the amount of work required to successfully fill you vacancies.
Prior to attraktt, I set out to create a platform where professionals could easily identify entirely relevant opportunities and apply directly to hiring managers and reduce the cost of recruitment services. I teamed up with a couple of web developers and set up Corporate & Finance Careers. While it had some success, particularly in the development of the network of senior professionals, a less than desirable user interface / experience, coupled with the lead developer losing patience and doing a disappearing act led to the plug being pulled.
It was at this point I took the decision that the only way to be in complete control of a technology based business was to understand the tech myself. I retrained in software development and initially set out to rebuild the previous site.
